How the process works

Map of the Entire Process Booking your wedding video with us Editing your wedding video Shooting your video on the wedding day Delivery of your finished wedding video

Booking Your Wedding with Us

  1. Inquire about your date—We'll tell you if we're available. If we are...
  2. You pick out your package. Feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.
  3. Give us a call or email us and tell us exactly what you want.
  4. We'll send you a contract right to your email address. (Click here to download the contract right now.)
  5. Fill out the contract directly on your computer. (You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader for best results.) Fill it in, print it out, and sign it. Then, mail us back the contract along with your deposit (30% of the total cost—Make checks payable to Carrie Cannaday.) to
PO Box 451, Glade Spring, VA 24340.
  6. When we receive your contract and deposit in the mail, your date is booked!

Taping Your Big Day

  1. We'll contact you 2 weeks before your wedding to make sure we've got all the details worked out and correct.
  2. We'll usually join you at your rehearsal so we can better plan coverage for your ceremony shoot.
  3. If you've ordered rehearsal or rehearsal dinner coverage, we'll be recording the night before the wedding.
  4. It's your Wedding Day! Congrats!! :)
    • If you ordered pre-ceremony coverage, we'll show up and start taping as early in the day as you want. (Most couples choose to start coverage when the bridal parties gather for the day.)
    • If you didn't order pre-ceremony coverage, we'll be at the wedding site an hour and a half before the wedding, setting up cameras, microphones, etc.
  5. The Ceremony
    • Ceremony coverage begins when the grandparents enter.
    • All the camera operators wear black, and we do our best to remain as unobtrusive as possible while still capturing each moment of the ceremony.
  6. The Reception
    • If you ordered reception coverage, we'll be working hard throughout the night to capture everything that happens. This coverage, of course, includes every scheduled event—the cake cutting, special dances, bouquet throwing, etc.—and includes unexpected events and well-wishes from your guests. If it happens at the reception, we'll get it on tape. When watching your reception video, you may even see more than you remember!
  7. The bride and groom leave the reception for the honeymoon (or the reception comes to a close, however you've set up the night), and our work is done—for the day.

Editing Your Video

  1. Once we're back at the office, we'll add your wedding tapes to our collection of weddings that need to be edited.
  2. When it is time to edit your video, we'll capture all of the footage into our computer editing systems.
  3. All of your wedding footage is meticulously edited. We try to pay close attention to details, working to stay true to the day while making the finished product as smooth and as pleasant to view as possible. The editing style will vary depending on which package you choose.
  4. After editing, we burn all of your videos onto one DVD and print custom labels for each copy. (You will receive 3 copies of the DVD.)
  5. The journey from shooting to finished product takes just 6-8 weeks. Your DVD is now ready for you!

Delivering the Finished Product

  1. We make plans to deliver your DVDs to you at your convenience. Upon delivery, you pay the remaining balance for the job (the remaining 70% of the total cost).

That's all there is to it!
