How do you dress when you attend a wedding? Will you stick out like a sore thumb?
We commit to dressing to fit in, not to stick out! If your wedding is a Hawaiian affair, we’ll show up in our finest island wear—Lei and all! If your wedding is a traditional wedding, where formal or semi-formal dress is appropriate, we’ll be wearing black dress clothes, tastefully chosen to help us look very presentable and to not draw attention to ourselves. After all, you’re to be the center of attention, not us!
Will you get along with our photographer?
Yes! Photographers are our friends, and we are theirs! At Starscape Media, we enjoy working with other wedding professionals. We’ve spent 12 years in this business, and we know many wedding professionals throughout Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee very well. Again, it’s your day, and as wedding vendors, we’re all here for you!
Will you join us for dinner at the rehearsal dinner or reception?
Absolutely! Thanks for asking! :-) If you aren’t aware of this already, you should know that wedding guests do not typically enjoy being photographed or videotaped while they are eating. For this reason, (and because we’re humans and we get hungry, too), we make it our custom to stop taping and start eating at meal times. If this is a problem for you, please let us know. We can pack a brown bag dinner, if necessary, but over the years, we’ve found that wedding guests enjoy getting to know those behind the camera.
How long will it take to edit our wedding video?
You can expect your wedding video within 8 weeks of your wedding day. Why 8 weeks? Well, the editing process is a tedious one. We’ll need some time to sit down and give your wedding the attention it deserves—Time to craft the best wedding video that we can for you and your loved ones to watch for generations to come! That, and you’re not the only customer we’ve got! We stay pretty busy taping weddings, which means we consequently stay pretty busy editing them, too! Have no fear, though, 8 weeks will give you just enough time to forget some of the details of your wedding day, which will make your wedding-video viewing experience that much more enjoyable!
Will we need to meet before the wedding to discuss details?
We can if you want to, but if you don’t have time for that, that’s fine too! When you book your wedding, we’ll ask you some general questions about where you’re getting married, what the ceremony will be like, what special videography needs your wedding will have, etc. We’ll welcome any questions you have and want to make sure that we’re all on the same page to give you the kind of wedding videography coverage that you deserve. If you want to meet with us before the wedding, we’ll be glad to do that. But if not, if you’re having a rehearsal on the eve of your wedding, we’ll plan to attend that—so that we’ll be informed about how your wedding will go and what we can do to best capture your day!
Will you travel outside of Southwest Virginia/Northeast Tennessee?
Absolutely! Travel is Starscape Media’s middle name! We love to travel and will be happy to go any distance for your wedding. The farthest we’ve been to date is Jamaica, and it was great, mon!
Will additional charges apply if you do travel outside of Southwest VA/Northeast TN?
Maybe, maybe not. It just depends how far you need us to go, what package you’ve chosen, etc. Just talk to us about that and we’ll see what kind of deal we can work out. After all, we do love to travel!
